What kind of signal does this send to the automotive world? Well, as consumers continue to avoid spending their hard earned cash and bear witness to the automakers economic trials, plans such as this are an attempt to restore faith in the brand to the public while motivating them to take a chance and buy that new car. If the Ford tactic works and sales increase, don’t be surprised if other automakers followed suit with their own plans?
